The problem you are encountering is not from the exchange side, but it is from the backup side. What software and hardware are you using to backup the exchange server? -----Original Message----- From: Denise Dorrance [mailto:denisedorrance@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, July 03, 2002 2:59 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Backup incomplete http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi All - When doing my nightly Exchange backup I receive the following error from Arcserve "E3714 Unable to write to media. (MEDIA=8, EC=CARTRIDGE NOT IN PLACE)". I had seen somewhere that I needed to change the setting somewhere in the SCSI bios but don't know how to go about doing it. If anyone has experienced this same problem, I would really appreciate you help.
