I have a complete listing of attribute mappings. I can't publish it as it is
Shell specific but if there are any you need to know give me a shout and I
will map them across. The info that I hold is in the format

GGD Attribute (LDAP) Action AD Object AD Attribute (LDAP) MSX
Display MSX LDAP Name SFF / SFF+

One point that I would make when running any LDAP query over AD is to make
sure that the attribute is indexed and then force the query through the GC
this returns the results much quicker and doesn't run the risk of the query
timing out.

i.e.
LDAP://FQDN:3268

(So you specify the port number)

The easiest way check what attributes you need in the queries is to check
against attributes against the Active Directory Schema MMC snapin. If Active
Directory Schema has been configured correctly then all of the descriptions
will be in there so generating the query is much easier. This way you won't
confuse certain attributes for example Company code

Jack

I too have found it a little tricky to find this type of information, you
have to try and piece it all together from msdn.microsoft.com, I have not
look at it for a while.

Sorry I could not be more help.

Thank you very much, Have you ever tried to find information on AD LDAP
to "Real" LDAP mappings? I have had a very hard time getting a full
account of this information.

Again thanks for the fast response... And to everyone that contributes
to this list, I have found so much information and perspective on many
subjects.

Jack,

I am not sure about the first question, I will look into it.

You could export the information from the AD using something like
csvde.exe and then bring it into Excel and tidy it up a bit and then
publish it to the website, here are a couple of links that might help:
http://www.msexchange.org/pages/articles.asp?art=329
http://www.msexchange.org/pages/articles.asp?art=330

These articles cover email addresses but you could modify the syntax to
include telephone numbers.

The other option would be to build the web page to include some LDAP
components that link to AD, this would be a little more complicated.

Hope this helps

I am looking to publish the public calendar to a webpage, I have been
doing this manually, but hope there is a way to automate it. Also any
one know a way to generate a Phone list VIA Active Directory or the Gal
for Exchange 2k?
