McAfee or Norton on the desktops is the norm, but for the Exchange server
side, AntiGen is the way to go. We just upgraded from 6.1 to 7.0, amazing
stuff. Set it and it's solid as a rock. If you do go that way, make sure you
set the dat update timeouts to 30 minutes apart for each, that's 30 minutes
apart from each other when downloading/updating, if you don't they overlap
each other and cause corruption. There's also a registry key to modify,
Under Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Sybari Software\Antigen for Exchange,
modify the key,
" EngineDownloadTime " change the decimal value to 900 / Hex value will then
read 384. With these to modifications you won't encounter any problems with
the dat files updating.. Great product, made my life a whole lot less
complicated../

McAfee/NAI Groupshield is rubbish!!! Not sure about Sophos....

Have a look at Sybari Antigen v5.0 - it has 4 (free) AV Engines built in -
Kaspersky / Computer Associates Inoculate/Vet / Norman Data...... and
Sophos!!!

I'm due to start evaluating it any day now....... Apparently it's
brilliant!!!! :-)

We're looking at some antivirus products. We now need to choose between
McAfee and Sophos. This may be too off-topic but it is in regard to
scanning e-mail.

Which one is better?

Thanks,
-Dan
