MessageHello All

Apologies for the interruption but I find it pathetic that MS cannot even
manage backward compatibility with their own products!!! I almost got caught in
this nightmare a while back. Having exported a GAL in CSV format from the
Exchange 5.5 Administrator program I would expect some way of doing the reverse
process in either AD users and Groups or the Exchange 2000 System Manager that
takes this process in to account. Having to completely revamp the file is
hardly an efficient way of doing things. The sad truth is that it actually
seems easier to port the GAL from Exchange 5.5 to Lotus Notes than to Exchange
2000!!!! I hate Notes in case you think I am advocating we should all go to
Notes.

Apologies if I am mistaken but I don't think so. Please feel free to correct or
enlighten me.

Regards,

Paul Lemonidis.

Could you please let me know what is the correct format? Is there any
document available on this anywhere on importing the same to the address book
view.

Please help me on this, I've been struggling to do this.

    Thanks

You will need to format the CSV file in the correct way, and then use
CSVDE to import it them as contacts in the correct address book view.

      Hi All,
I've an Exchange 5.5 installed and also Exchange 2000 server on
different domains. I've exported the GAL on E5.5 to a CSV file . How do I
import that into E2K server and put it under different address book which will
be available for everyone like GAL or is there anyother procedure to do this.

       Please help.

      Thanks
