[ExchangeList] ActiveSync and items in Public Folder

Hi,
If an Exchange 2003 user has an item in their public folder like a calendar or contact list, will ActiveSync allow the user to keep this sync'd with their PD (Treo etc.)? or does ActiveSync only apply to the primary calendar and contact lists?
