As far as US law, if it is a company e-mail on a company e-mail server, it
is generally legal.

Hey all!

this "archive messages stuff" is really nasty :-) do anybody know if this is
legal (in germany) ?? and is there a way to do this only with a few
mailboxes in one store ? (so i´ve dont set up a new store and got to move my
"target" mailboxes into it)

you can monitor all mail going in and out. go to your exchange system
manager | mailbox store | properties | check off "Archive all messages sent
and received..." then select a mailbox for all this mail to archive to. I
strongly advise creating a new account and it creates a copy of all mail
sent and received throughout the organization.

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I?m tasked with sifting through a ?marked? users email to locate any
?wrong-doings? and could use some advice on how best to go by this. It
appears this user has caught on to what?s going on and has began deleting
anything that isn?t company related. Is there anything I can do on the
exchange server to obtain any and all email transactions performed by this
user? I know the users password so I can log in as them and view their
existing email as it sits on the exchange 2000 server.

Thanks
