I've started at a new company and I am reviewing their Exchange setup.  They
have a windows 2003 sp2 exchange server on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition
server clustered with never fail.

Their smtp gateway lives on an Exchange 5.5 sp 4 server that is installed on
a Windows 2000 Advanced server.

They do not allow outside access to OWA and no one can seem to answer why
they have a separate server with the gateway on it.   Any thoughts?
