Hello again.
Thank you all for your replies. I respond to all of you in one mail, so
things don't get split up too much.
As you suggested, I put up a wikipage (for now, in my wiki) detailing on
the plugins / improvements I propose. See
http://brightbyte.de/wiki/index.php?id=BetterEWiki
Please do comment there.
Now in response to your mails:
First: I found the archive now, thanks. I missed the link before :(
Now...

Can't you just disclaim copyright? Or 'license' it as "These
modifications are freely available to all for any purpose whatsoever.
They come with no warrantee whatsoever; neither express, implied, nor of
merchantability?" Mario is in Germany so he may know enough about
European laws to help you here.
The "License" you suggested above is probably fine, I was just thinking
it would be good to have some legally sound way to do this. Maybe a
Creative Commons license or some such would be best. The only
restriction I would like to put on my code is that I would like to be
mentioned there - but that'S not even an absolute requirement.
"Disclaiming Copyrights" is not possible under german/european law,
beacuase there is no such thing as "copyright" here, only "creators
rights" (Urheberrecht), which can not be transferred. But I can grant
the right to use the code to anyone - which ist not exactly the same
thing, but close enough I guess.
Actually, I like OpenSource licences for the "must give credit" part,
but I dislike all the legalese. "Share-alike" is also nice, but not
essential. I'm not a big fan of the GPL as a specific license. That one
just came to mind first.

It is intentional that the mailing lists address is not written anywhere.
The list itself is open-post, meaning that one didn't even need to sign
up for writing here. But because that typically leads to lots of spam, I
decided to keep the address somewhat secret.
Well, not putting it anywhere on a webpage is OK with me, although
something like "the list ewiki at freelists.org" would be good. But I
would suggest putting the full exmail address and the link to the
archive, etc into the welcome message sent out by the list manager (that
is a custom message, right?).
So, thanks again for your response. Please have a look at the page I put
up in my wiki and tell me what you think.
Regards,
Daniel
PS: I'm a wiki-addict: when writing mails I catch myself looking for the
preview button...
Oh, BTW, if you like, have a look at my user page in the Wikipedia:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Duesentrieb - i'm quite active there.
