Outreach Events
Tuesday, February 21st is San Marcos Elementary (451 W Frye Rd in Chandler
85225) from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. This is a school star party. They are expecting
about 500 people. Nearest cross streets are Frye Rd midway between Arizona Ave
and Alma School Rd. Setup will be determined on site. Contact is Gary Johnson.
Wednesday, February 22nd is Chandler Gilbert Community College (2626 E Pecos Rd
in Chandler 85225) from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. This is a star party for the
astronomy lab class but has been opened to the Campus. They expect about 70
people. Nearest cross streets are Pecos & Gilbert Rd. Setup will be in the
gravel parking lot on the north side of the campus. Contact is Henry De Jonge.
Thursday, February 23rd is Riggs Elementary (6930 S Seville Blvd in Gilbert
85298) rom 6:30 to 8:00 pm. This is the school’s annual STEM night. They expect
about 500 people. Nearest cross streets are Higley & Chandler Heights Blvd.
Setup will be on the main playground on the south side of the school basketball

If you can provide a telescope or assistance for these events please send an

want to bring a telescope, we can always use some help in talking about
astronomy to the participants.
