Outreach Events
We have three events this week.
Tuesday, February 7th is Concordia Charter School (142 N Date in Mesa 8520)
from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. This is a star party for the 2-6th grade students. They
expect about 50 people. Nearest cross streets are Date & Main St. Set up will
be in the parking lot on the east side of the church. Contact is Brooke Jerde.
Wednesday, February 8th is C.O. Greenfield (7009 S 10th St in Phoenix 85042)
from 6:30-8:00 pm. This will be a school star party. They expect about 400
participants. Nearest cross streets are 10th St & Baseline Rd. Setup will be
the lower back field. Contact is Jamie Standridge.
Thursday, February 9th is Navarrete Elementary School (6490 S Sun Groves Blvd
in Chandler 85249) from 6:30-8:30 pm. This is a school star party. They expect
about 300 people. Nearest cross streets are Sun Groves & Riggs Rd. Set up will
be on the basketball courts on the southwest side of the school accessible from
the bus lane and over the curb. Contact is Joanne Terrell.
If you can provide a telescope or assistance for these events please send an
email to events@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. If you don't want to bring a telescope, we can
always use some help in talking about astronomy to the participants.
