It's very scary hearing about violence towards teachers. But physical
violence begins with verbal violence, and if we let the kids get away with
it, we're opening the door. We had an incident of verbal violence towards
oneof the teachers, and the school totally backed her up and suspended the
student. The sad part was the amount of verbal violence and threats on the
part of the student's father, trying to back up / defend his son, which just
shows that kids don't live in a vacuum, and what we're getting from them is
what they're getting at home, so what can we really expect, and what can we
do. Very depressing.
