Thanks for publishing those parts of the editorial in Haaretz on Thursday that 
sum up the strike and its results. I had not read them before.
   
  Yes, I am disppointed with the results but not with what I myself and so many 
other teachers like me have done during the strike.
   
  And, yes, there is no other way to raise awareness of the need for change. 
The stike was a must .
   
  And, yes, The Education Ministry will find it difficult to continue with its 
familiar routine of imposing changes without first consulting and considering 
teachers. We English teachers must be there to make ourselves heard because 
enough is enough, and it is more than enough what we are required, expected 
etc. to do. WE have written that here and elsewhere. We will be there when the 
time comes.
   
  And, yes,   It will be impossible to ignore thousands of teachers who 
demonstrated and explained and wrote letters... Well, I don't know about 
thousands of English teachers who did that, but ETNI and the Matot Maavak 
(local and regional) are a good example of the many English teachers who 
managed to speak up, write down, shout to the right and left, jumped forward, 
stood backward, etc. 
   
  We will have to be taken into account.
   
  Yes, yes: We must believe this, at least, in light of the length of the 
strike and the meager results obtained.  The strike is over, but this aspect of 
the struggle, just like the struggle for public education in Israel is not.
   
  And, please, on this there is no difference among English teachers as to us 
being Irgun (like me) or Histadrut.
