**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org ****
This thread seems to have moved very far away from the original topic. It
started out as a thread on whether or not ETNI should allow ads that call
for native speakers only. Then we discussed who should teach native speaker
students -- native English speaking teachers or non-native English speaking
teachers. We certainly never discussed who makes a better teacher or
whether non-native speakers should be allowed to teach English at all!
Of course, if anyone wants to discuss whether non-native speakers who aren't
English teachers should be allowed to teach English (1st grade class
teachers, for example), that would certainly provoke some strong reactions!
