[etni] teachers of Haifa

Hi all
I was wondering if those of you who live in Haifa could help:
If one is leaving in the Karmel area (for the sake of great views and less
humidity, if anyone has other suggestions with the same effects, I welcome
them as well) how difficult/easy is it to "get around" and also how
close/far is it to the nearest train station? Is the Karmelit any help
really?
I'm thinking of moving and need good transportation since I've had enough
with unending buses, and also since I need to get to Tel aviv and Beer sheva
once-twice a week (not on the same day...)
