[etni] sticker

In answer to Judy Givati;

The stickers put on the booklets are there for technical reasons - so the
proctors know who to give extra time to and the examiners know how to check
the exam. That's all it is, and Judy is right that there is no indication
on the teudat Bagrut that students have had Hakalot.

However, initially, when the grades for English and three other subjects
went into the Tsiun Mitsraf (meant to be an alternative to the psychometric
exam for university entrance), students who had done oral exams or mivhan
beit sifri had a star next to their results. A legal battle over this
ensued, and I believe the stars were removed, but I'm not sure what will
happen in the future. In the past, I could always promise students that no
one will ever know if they did the Bagrut with Hakalot or not. Today, I'm
more hesitant, because of what happened with the Tsiun Mitsraf.

To make things more confusing, this morning I heard on the news that the
Ministry of Education has caved into pressure from the university and
announce that the psychometry exam is once again mandatory.
