Why not - lachzoor al hamilim - to review the words.

Subject: [etni] returning words ?
Dear Etniers,
First and foremost I want to wish every single English teacher in the
country ( and even the world !!) a happy, healthy and joyful new year. May we
keep teaching our pupils ENGLISH and be less stressed out over grades , bagrut
, meitzav etc.. !!!
AND now a sweet story ... to make you smile.( i hope) . Call it a blooper ..
or just a mistake.. !! One of the things I do with most of my students in the
beginning of the school year is to have them set themselves short term goals.
I believe our children learn to take responsibility for their learning if they
are asked to think about where they are and where they would like to be !! ( I
highly recommend trying this ) Anyways.. one lovely girl wrote " My goal is
to return all the words from the previous year of learning ".. At first I was
stymied.. , Why would she want to return the words,, ?? (and to who ??) Were
they bad words, not useful ,, too hard to pronounce !! OH.... She meant
remember,, the words !!!!
Well.. hopefully I leave you with a smile.. Again SHANA TOVA to all of you.
All of you who find being teachers a calling and who work so very hard all year
round !!
All the best,
Aviva Shapiro
Try and Fail BUT Never Fail to try !!!
