[etni] reflection journals..

Hi all,  I just want to thank all of you who wrote me expressing their
interest in this idea of Reflection journals.. I haven't re-invented
anything.. These journals  are simply an extension of the idea of feedback
and dialogue journals..I know many teachers use different kinds of journal
writing in class which is great.  I  hope many more teachers will adopt the
idea.. It's a great way to get to really know your kids while at the same
time to teach them how to think and reflect.  As English teachers we have
such a great opportunity to do this..  Yes, it does mean that you, the
teacher has to take the time and sit and read what the kids wrote but it's
really fascinating in my opinion and not tedious. !! Kids will write things
they won't or can't express orally.  So good luck.. try it.. and if I can
