Several years ago, I had a very good 4-point student who was absolutely
incapable of using a regular electronic dictionary. She had had a brain
tumor removed and her motor skills were severely impaired. She could barely
manage to run the Quicktionary across a word, much less actually type
letters into an electronic dictionary. I realize that she was an exception,
but like Sharon, I would be careful about statements claiming that the
Quicktionary is worthless -- for some students, it's an invaluable tool.
