[etni] questions about the "deal"

According to the JPost: "The agreement reportedly includes a salary increase
for teachers of 17 percent, 14% of which will be effective immediately. The
increase includes a hike of 8.5% in exchange for two more classroom hours
per week and extra time teaching small groups of pupils and performing other
activities. The deal also includes an enhanced status of school principals
and reduced class sizes, the extent of which was still unclear.

In addition, teachers will receive a 4% raise due to wage erosion, along
with all other Histadrut workers."

What does this mean "tachlis" right now, in our next paycheck? 14% plus 4%?

Also, 2 hours more a week total, or two hours per class per week? And
starting when?

When will class size be reduced and to what extent?

For a signed agreement this seems awfully vague to me as to what we're
actually going to have to do to get what we need, aside from a small pay
hike.

Any clear ideas, people?

Thanks,

Jodi Schenck
