[etni] no strike fund!

Hi All,

  I just spoke with the southern branch of Irgun Hamorim and was informed that 
at present, there is NO strike fund. Turns out that the original Irgun plan of 
deducting 600 NIS from members' accounts, wasn't legal. The union is now asking 
members to make donations into a fund for teachers in financial straits but to 
date, they have nothing to offer other than loans. 

  By the way, I never received an answer to my letter to Ran Erez which I sent 
prior to the strike; I'd raised the issue of a strike fund then and asked why 
one hadn't been established long ago.
