The Schiffman Institute invites you to browse the updated list of our
online courses

You will notice that we have abandoned the traditional semester-based
calendar, with its fixed start dates, in favour of a more flexible
model. 

We have a new and unusual course now: "Bullying in School: Prevention
and Intervention" - due open May 15.

Given the rising wave of violence in our schools, the importance of this
course (designed and led by Leslie Bowman, a guest instructor from the
US and an expert in violence prevention) is hard to overestimate. Leslie
has been teaching this and similar courses in the US for a number of
years. 

Besides EFL teachers and coordinators, the course also targets school
counsellors and teachers of other subjects whose command of English
makes it possible for them to participate. Please spread the word - it
is a once-only chance which would be a shame to miss. More at

Some courses are still at development stage; we'll post the information
about them as soon as they are ready to run.

A request: if you believe there is need in a course that is not
available, do not hesitate to e-mail and suggest a topic.
