[etni] native speakers

In response to Aliza's letter I would like to say that this business is 
beginning to get out of hand. The original point was that a private language 
institute wanted native speakers, period, and I would guess for the accent and 
possibly the idioms (by which I mean idioms and not the latest slang), not the 
grammar. I have never heard anyone accuse non-native speakers of not being good 
teachers. I have never heard anyone say that native speakers are "better" 
teachers. No one is waiting for another teacher to make a mistake. Let's not 
get carried away here. (Personally, I found the kids were helpful and 
cooperative. I explained to them that it was my job to teach them English and 
theirs to correct my Hebrew and that I expected them to do so.) If you can walk 
out of a lesson feeling they know more now than they did 45 minutes ago and can 
use what they know then you are doing your job well and that's all that 
matters. Instead of sliding off into mud-slinging again, why doesn't everyone 
just sign Nina's letter?
