[etni] may 21st/ english bagrut..

Good Morning all,
It is the day of the Bagrut . And as I lay sleepless in bed last night
thinking about all the things that might go wrong, ( not enough version As,
kids without dictionaries, tapes that don't work.. etc.) I finally realized
that I was being ridiculous. For as my 17 year old daughter told me before
going to sleep ."Mom , it's just a test!!"and she's right.. And then I got
up this morning and read Esther's moving letter I thought "wow, she has much
more to deal with , what am I worried about !!" My heart goes out to those
in the South where 'rockets red glare" is a reality , a daily one. . And I
know that in times like this in the past the Ministry of Education has made
accommodations , so it is possible !! A few years ago when my son was in yud
, in his high school UP North, the kids couldn't take the "bagrut in Hebrew
Language "as Katyshot were falling , so the kids were given their "Tzion
Shnati". So what can I say.. to all of you in the danger zone...I hope and
pray that this day will be peaceful but if it's not that "those in power"
will do the right thing by the kids whether it be only giving the tzion
shnati or adding points.. etc..

So to Esther and all my fellow English teachers, and their pupils.. . I too
hope that someone can "think outside the box" For this is NOT just about
English but all the exams.. But in the meantime .. *may peace break out*.. ,
may the test be fair and may the day pass painlessly for us all BUT mostly
for those in the Gaza area...

Good Luck
