Can you help?
I have always taught my students to address their letters to: The
Editor, The Manager, The Secretary etc and write Dear Sir/Madam. In
'Summit' the letter format suggests that students give the person a name.
Hence, writing Sir/Madam is no longer required since Dear Mr, Blank is now
correct.
I have always taught my students NOT to invent names since they are
supposed to use the correct Bagrut format for formal letter writing and use
'Dear Sir or Madam' .
Are marks taken off for inventing a name (not given in any text) and
writing 'Dear Mr. Blank' instead of the correct Bagrut format?
Many thanks to those in the know,
Enjoy life,
Patricia
