[etni] joining or unsubscribing - the ETNI mailing list

Hi all,

Many of you have probably heard that a new anti-spam law will be enforced in 
Israel from the 1st of December, 2008.
This law will hopefully cut down on the amount of spam that enters our 
inbox, at least from Israeli sources.
This law will prevent companies, or advertizing agents, from sending mail to 
people who have not explicitly requested such mail (through joining a 
mailing list, submitting a request form for receiving such offers, etc.).

As such, this law does not affect the ETNI mailing list as everyone on the 
list have explicitly requested to subscribe to the list.

However, that said, if anybody is receiving ETNI mail and feel that they no 
longer want to receive ETNI mail, please write me - david@xxxxxxxx - asking 
to be unsubscribed from the list and I will unsubscribe you immediately.

I will also soon be cancelling the option of subscribing to the ETNI list - 
or managing your ETNI subscription - through the online form on the web. 
From now on, you will be asked to write me directly - david@xxxxxxxx - if 
you wish to subscribe, unsubscribe, or change your list status to digest or 
vacation mode. This is so that I will have a record of such requests so as 
to avoid any misunderstandings in the future.
