[etni] fw: taking unpaid leave of absence from school

Concerning taking unpaid leave of absence from school -

When is the cutoff date for informing school of one's plans to do so?

Is it possible for the school to refuse a teacher's plan to take unpaid 
leave?

Does anyone who has btdt or is in the know have advice concerning the 
freezing of one's rights during such a period, taxes, insurance, or any 
issues which would be important to investigate or clarify beforehand?

I've been advised to 'check things out' but am not all that sure exactly 
what to ask about!
