Subject: independent work for 7th grade English speakers

I'm looking for recommendations for a book that my few English speakers (I use the term loosely) can work on in 7th grade. I'd previously tried using the short stories recommended by the English speakers of the ministry but they seem to be geared for classes of English speakers only. There must be plenty of reading (short articles/stories) with lots of vocabulary and
comprehension work. I'll be able to sit with them one lesson out of four per week and don't want them out of sorts for the other three.
Additionally, if anyone has a spare copy of "Challenges" (Sharon Tzur - ECB), please let me know. Thanks.
