Subject: Southern Fried Jam/Sing-Around

The FALL SOUTHERN FRIED JAM / SING -AROUND will take place on SAT, Oct. 29 (NOT Fri., the 28th!) in the picnic area across the road from the Joe Alon Bedouin Museum in Lahav Forest.
Go down the few steps from the parking lot and find us at the horseshoe
-shaped picnic table just below. We'll be gathering by 11 AM and will
play and sing on till we've had our hearts' desire.

Do bring a picnic lunch , chairs or blankets for comfy sitting and
SPOOKY and "other" seasonal songs to get us going this time. Copies of "Rise Up Singing! " are helpful if you have one. Keep in mind this is an informal sing-around and not a performance-based event.

Directions:
From the north....take Road 40 south past Kiryat Gat and Kama
Intersection (large intersection with traffic lights) . Just a short ways beyond, look for sign to Joe Alon Bedouin Museum and Kibbutz Lahav (NOT Lahavim...you've gone too far!) Turn left onto access road and drive a few kms. till you reach a fork . See a large brown wooden park sign and take the road to the right up to the parking lot. You're there. 

This is about 1 1/4 hr. drive from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Southerns...you know where it is!
