Subject: Sons and Lovers

 Dear All,

Could someone please explain to me why pupils have to read
the Arthur Miller play "Sons and Lovers".  The reason I ask is
that part of the grammar is incorrect and the characters do not
pronounce words correctly.

We spend so much time teaching correct grammar and pronounciation
to our pupils and then we have to explain all these incorrect words to them.
