Dear all,
Thought I'd let you know about the most wonderful vacation I had in the summer - thanks to an English "unseen" text in one of the practice books. The unseen article was about pueblo ingles (www.puebloingles.com). A Spanish residential immersion program for Spanish speakers to practice spoken English. In short, in return for a week of your time and pleasant English conversation, you get a free week's room and board in a beautiful Spanish location, the chance to meet many people - Spaniards and International Anglos and it is incredible fun. You don't teach, just talk and laugh and generally have a good time (the wine is free and it flows...).
If any of you have teens that are genuine anglo speakers then they also have a teen program.
I was the first Israeli anglo on the program and was warmly welcomed. The other participants were extremely interested in Israel and Judaism and I had a fabulous time.
