Hello All!
I would like to warmly recommend a performance I saw last week. I personally enjoyed it and I am sure most high schoolers would enjoy it too. They claim to "breeze through the 20th century and discover how American music evolved to what it is today!" (They are a small group of English-speaking actors)
It is educational without being obviously so and also timely with many students and teachers thinking about possible project topics right now. Many students choose a music related topic. After the performance they hold an interactive session with their audience. I know they do other performances geared for a younger audience but, judging from what I saw, the end product is quite slick, fast-moving (the students won't have time to be bored) and educational.
Any school that orders a performance before the end of 2006 gets a nice discount as well as an enrichment booklet good for pre-viewing activities.
