Just wanted to say thank you for those fantastic ideas. Both of them were a HUGE success. We used a double lesson for the skits (as suggested I gave each group of kids a bag with about 5 weird, wonderful and everyday items that they had to use) - they had a great time using lots of English, I enjoyed their creative productions and we all left the lesson laughing (makes a change :-)

We are now in the midst of making autograph books. I bought plain notebooks in and they were asked to bring "tooshim" and stickers etc. One of the few times that without a grade book in sight they have been so engrossed in what they were writing in English that they didn't move when the bell went. They have written some beautiful messages to each other. I will add my own messages and give the notebooks a cover before giving them back on the day of the summer bagrut.
