Has anyone ever had a pupil with this problem? And even
better, has anyone solved it?
A new boy came to our school in the 12th grade. In the
10th and 11th grade he studied in an "externi"
school. He didn't do a project, he didn't do book
reports, he thinks he studied some literature but
doesn't remember being tested on it and has no grades.
His English is good, last year he got about 90 on E.
He was put into my 5 point class. The problem is that
he is missing a good part of the literature and book
reports that the other students did in 10th and 11th
grade. (a play, 3 book reports, 2 short stories, 3
poems). He also doesn't have a project to bring to
the oral bagrut.
MAYBE he could do some sort of project alone. But I
don't see him making up all the lit and BRs, on top of
this year's work.
We could move him to the 4 point group, this year they
are doing most of the literature in the 12th grade.
But it's a shame for him not to have a 5 point bagrut
if he can. I suggested he do F and G as an "externi",
but was told that probably isn't possible because his
file in the testing department is being transferred to
"interni".
Any ideas? Maybe some of the "externi" teachers (Ankori
etc. ) can suggest something?
tia, and Shabat Shalom,
