Ilanit-
I have used a number of methods to reinforce vocabulary taught to 5th
graders including reading short passages accompanied by pictures with the
vocabulary used repeatedly in a genuine context, games such as bingo, memory
games (where one goes out of the room and has to match what another switched
or for the whole class to look at pictures of the vocab for a limited time
and then try to remember how many they saw); using vocabulary words to
describe a picture orally or in writing, short dialogues, or creating
authentic texts (E.g. menu, shopping list, map). Pairwork is great for
memory/guessing games, too. The follow-up activities really depend on the
words you taught!
Good luck.
