I can decipher it but it gives me a rash.  I guess it's the generation gap.  I 
suppose that if kids want to communicate like this, it's fine.  The important 
thing is that they realize that this writing is inappropriate in other 
contexts.  I find it much more annoying when people write to our discussion
group list using similar types of short cuts (like "u" for you) or don't use 
proper puncuation and capitalization.  I think that on a public discussion 
list, people should try to write properly.
