Without reprinting the comments about teachers' unions here, I am adding my
two cents.1.Although I am fairly often aggravated at the Irgun HaMorim, to
which I belong, and although my criticism includes bothteachers'  unions
hereand the leaders,  I ALWAYS  go along with my union.  I am a believer in
unions.    I do always express my opinions to my union.  2. Whatever the
flaws, my union is all I have to protect me in the labor jungle. The present
government has been trying, in my opinion, to defeat/delete unions.  3.  If
Idon't agree with my union, I can          ???..Resign in protest ?(and then
NOT TAKE ANY BENEFITS THAT THE UNION ACHIEVES, IN MONETARY FORM OR  IMPROVED
CONDITIONS.  This would be the principled thing to do. )          ????.I 
cancommunicate my views to the va'ad, which exists in every school.  
??????Ican try to get elected to the school va'ad, then the regional va'ad,
and if I become a fiery advocate, the national va'ad.        ?????I can
become an unofficial advocate for teachers, with friends and people I come
into contact with, and write letters to papers etc.  4.      And  if I don't
elect to do any of the above, I should sit  quietly and not complain?and
