[etni] censorship on etni

**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org ****

Once again I've been censored on Etni for daring to voice a complaint
against the unreasonable additional work loads that the NBA and the new
modularity are imposing on already overburdened teachers. While I am in
favour of the proposed changes in principle, I feel that they are being
implemented in an unnecessarily burdensome way, with insufficient
forethought and little or no consideration for those in the "front line",
i,e, the teachers. Since Etni is the only national voice that we, the rank
and file teachers have, as opposed to the ministry's juggernaut of
inspectors, instructors and official bulletins, I feel very strongly that
the Etni team should encourage criticism from teachers in the field rather
than stifle it and that not doing so distorts the true picture of how
teachers feel about the distressing state of English teaching in particular,
the profession in general and, indeed, the whole Israeli education system.
Pretending that we are all "happy campers" will not promote desperately
needed changes. David Bar El.
