Hi everyone,
I had to share this one with you all.
I am doing dialogue journals with my 8th graders and one of them wrote this
beautiful sentence.
"I ritual bath to succeed in my next test"
As you can well imagine my eyebrows twitched and for the life of me I could
not understand what it meant.
So I asked the pupil to explain.
Are you all ready???
He wanted to say "mekave" as in "hope" so he looked it up in the dictionary.
And guess what he found???
'Mikve" as in ritual bath.
Hence the wonderful sentence.
I hope this gives you all as big a laugh as it gave me.
Rachel
