I have just seen this letter that I wrote to the list a few hours ago and
realised that I wrote "unexcusable" instead of inexcusable.
Now that really is un, er, inexcusable.

There was a directive from the Powers-that-Be telling us to
delete the first option. You're right; they were both right.
I think that the question was meant to have directed the
pupils to the first paragraph only where the teacher is not
yet mentioned, but someone messed up. There was also a
mistake in the instructions for the F module telling pupils
to only write 100-120 words for the essay.
May I be as bold as to suggest that bloopers such as these
on a national official exam are unexcusable. Is anyone going
to take ministerial responsibility for this?
