Dear David
Funny you should mention the strange phenomenon with the listening.
YOu think that was strange.
We heard a similar wailing and screaming in a language which may have been an
advertisement for an Insurance Company in Azza, as i could make out the words,
'Ivtach El Yahood' .
But that wasn't the strange part. What was really wierd was, that after the
first broadcast was finished, all our students
seemed to know exactly which answers to choose. They didn't even wait for the
music to finish ( ' a meddley of Yiddish tunes by Theodore Bikel), but went
promptly back to the unseen and ignored the second broadcast entirely.
This (parody) message has been brought to you by
Barry Silverberg and Ita Beigel.

Subject: [etni] Strange A casette
An unusual thing occurred during our Winter bagrut. I sat a small group of
students down to listen to the A tape--they had the "hatama" for "hakra'at
hashealon". Upon entering the tape into the machine we heard a man screaming
in arabic. The tirade goes on for the length of the recording. The tape had
been sealed and marked with the same markings of all the tapes...
It's hard to believe that ours was the only one like this that went out. Did
anyone else meet a similar casette?
David
