Lev, I really must disagree with you.  I know conspiracy theories are very 
sexy and that it is the common wisdom that the Bagrut exams have been 
"dumbed down" in order to make sure that more pupils pass so that Livnat and 
Ronit can look good, but it is not borne up by the facts as far as English 
is concerned.   If anything, the Modular Bagrut is MORE difficult and 
demands advanced reading comprehension skills that only the most talented of 
our pupils possess.    I predict lower results on this year's Modular Bagrut 
exam than last year, when pupils were still doing the old Bagrut.      I 
hope I'm wrong.     Good night, Maxine
