Understanding Pupils with Special Needs - Gordon College
56 hours + grade
Many pupils have difficulties in acquiring English. Helping them
requires an approach based on understanding these difficulties. This
course exposes teachers to linguistic and learning theories which
assist in understanding the difficulties in acquiring a foreign
language.
Teachers will also learn about different intervention and remediation
models that will supply then with the tools to successfully teach
pupils with special needs.
The course is for English teachers in Elementary and Junior High
schools.
Gordon College
Wednesdays
15:00 – 18:15
Starting date: 29/10/03
The course counts for credit towards future studies at Gordon College
(B.Ed, Special Needs certification).
