[etni] Re: Semi-formal letter?

Thanks for your reply, Sara!
But I still don't get it- didn't the mikud say "semi-formal" for D ? Granted, when I checked just now online it just says letter, but our staff was very sure we were talking about semi-formal. Did the mikud change or am I just having an episode...?
This is the ONE issue for which the mikud in English has any real significance, and I still can't get it. 

Can anyone help me here?
