Hi Sharon,

I suggest you look at this free online program for basic reading and basic

Try Starfall which is a great free online program and divided into 4 levels

For end of year projects you might find ideas on the AMIT Yesodi site 
http://www.amit.org.il/yesodi/english/

In regards to planning and classroom management, before the first time that 
pupils go to the computer lab have them sign a simple computer lab code of 
conduct. Make a sitting plan before they go to the room and make sure pupils 
know the sitting arrangement.

I think that for weak learners it's easier to use the computer to reinforce 
material already taught in class. I also suggest that pupils fill out a 
handout individually or in pairs during the lesson. That way, the pupils are 
focused on their assignment. Among other things, the handout should also 
include some way of follow up so that next time the class uses the computer 
again, maybe in two weeks, you as well as the pupils will know what they did 
the previous time. Also, try to have the computer technician present with 
you at least in the first few times you use the computer room until you 
learn to recognize and solve simple problems.
