[etni] More things to think about next year

I read Bari's posting and I agree with every word. I am correcting F tests and
I can add that teaching the correct formal letter form (2 addresses, date,
opening and a CORRECT closing) is a must. I told my pupils that they had to
learn a lot more information for other tests and this was the only thing they
had to sit down and learn for the English Bagrut. Why lose up to 4 points for
nothing?
Handwriting is absolutely terrible. There were compositions that I had to
reread again and again to understand what was written. There were pupils who
obviously would have had "sheatuk" (dictating to a neutral examiner) in the
past and did not want to dictate to a tape recorder. Please don't let pupils
like these pass on this way of taking the test in the future. It just hurts
their chances of getting a better grade since sometimes it's impossible to
decipher some of the words.
