some more possibilities:
1. JELLY library in ramat-eshkol (graded readers) and bak'a (regular books),
both in jerusalem, have tapes of some books. you can subscribe as a school,
really cheap and take out multiple copies, or i think - kids can subscribe
and go on their own. worth checking into - (02)671-1734 (bak'a)
2. there is a library for the blind in natanya who send tapes of books
directly to the student's home. they just have to provide them with the
assessment that says they should use tapes. when they are finished, they
return them by mail. unfortunately, most kids are put off by the word blind.
(09)861-7874.also inexpensive and unlimited tapes.
3. the star world channnel on tv does not have subtitles. they can choose a
movie there and do a movie report. they have to tell me the date and time,
so i can check it out.
4. they can get someone to read to them.
the most important is not to excuse them!
