**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org **** I walked along a wooden plank above a ditch and noticed a small insect drowning in the water. I saw how it drifted till it reached a small sand-bank, losing once again its footing, was washed away, went under and again floated. Why does it strive to live? Is his tiny life, surrounded by dangers from all directions, this life that he is about to lose and will lose at any moment now, valuable. And the human being? Suddenly a thought came to my mind. In order to save the insect, one needs to get off the plank and wet one's feet ? is it worthwhile? And then I heard a voice: "If you don't make a small sacrifice immediately, my boy, a small sacrifice to save an insect, when you grow-up you won't make a bigger sacrifice to save a man." With much satisfaction, I watched as he quivered, straightened his wings ? on my palm. We won't meet again, fly away and be happy!
