In our school the HS teachers who struck did not get the 2nd half of the
strike money in July.  Some of the JHS teachers, whose salaries are paid by
the ministry, also did not get paid.  Our principal told us that the Irgun
is now suing the ministry for Halanat Sachar.  What happened was the
ministry did not give the municipalities the 2nd half of the strike money,
but rather is using it for other purposes - perhaps for all the ads
promoting Ofek Hadash.  Some municipalities paid their teachers even though
the ministry did not pass on the funds.  Other municipalities have not paid
the teachers.  Our principal added that she has no idea why some of the JHS
teachers who struck didn't get their salary since school reported all the
hours that were taught.
