Ruth asked us to speak up about the new pilot Internet homework project her
principal has initiated. From my experience, if the school is recognized as
being "experimental", then it also receives funds, of which some can and
should be given to the teachers involved. I'm interested in knowing how this
works in practice. Has the school/Min. of Ed./municipality provided all
students with computers and access to Internet from home to do their
"home"work? And what about the teachers? Will their computer-related
expensesbe covered and will they receive upgraded computers with fast
Internet connections? I, personally, would not like to see all schoolwork
done on computers and prefer to have options. I assume that should Dovrat
become a reality, in some form or other, every teacher in the school will
have his/her own computer and workspace provided. Enough said. Laurie
