---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: sandy regev <sandyregev@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Music in Common Just wanted to add my words of thanks for the great work done (all voluntary!!) by Todd and Lynette of Music in Common. And of course Laurie Ornstein, who has worked with them and recommended them to us. They gave a two day workshop at ORT Lilienthal H.S. in Ramla, from 8:30 - 4:00, for 12 chosen and very privileged students (their words!), who live and breathe music and wanted to use their talents and learn more. The students spent both days working together, cooperating, using English - to create a song from their hearts - World Peace. They wrote the words and the music, sang, played instruments, recorded, photographed and performed for their classmates. Several of them were Project Access students (another amazing partnership project - ORT and the U.S. Embassy) and they all grew - in their music, in their English and in their team spirit. Several of them performed again on Saturday night, at the Open House (Jews & Arabs) in Ramla. They were great! Thank you to one and all and hoping for more good people to come along, Sandy -- 'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain."
